TUMORS: antineoplastic drugsAntonino RaitanoSome antineoplastic drugs give the best results on tumour cells, by different action ways, that are on ipoxic or in acidosis or in glucose deficit. These drugs, called " bioriduced alkilants agents", for example mytomicin C, are more toxic in ipoxic tumoural cells (up to 10 times) and in high doses of drug. In solid tumours this choice is also possible by a special technique, called " stop-flow", with a short and controlled loco-regional treatment. Nowadays it is important a multi-modulary therapy in the cancer's strategic treatment, by a better target control (tumour), by reducing drug secondary effects and mixing rationally different therapeutic choices. |
